Howe predictable

By

Morning guys.

Very short piece today from me in terms of quantity – but do not let that put you off the quality of the bets.  I think i’ve got a couple of crackers.

First and foremost, as I know you are all here for the football, I am biting Tiziano Crudeli’s arm off and taking the 1.91 one his outfit are offering on a Burnley win at home to Derby.  If someone could bite his other arm off so we don’t have to put up with the diabolical TV adverts anymore that would be ideal.

Eddie Howe is slowly but surely getting his shop in order at Turf Moor, and I expect the The Clarets to end up in the top six.  They are 7/0/2/+11 over their last eleven games including four away wins at Hull City, West Ham, Brighton and Middlesbrough.  Need I say more at that point?

TrashTV.com

I am also returning to the site of BOTW’s biggest ever win and having a dabble on the winner of the current series of Celebrity Big Brother.  Don’t worry guys, you can just trust me and bet on it – watching such trash isn’t compulsory!

After “Trumpet Sonia” was surprisingly evicted last night, the betting markets appear to have lost their way a little over night.  A few people that I don’t think have much chance of winning, for a whole host of different reasons, have been cut (Michael Madsen, The Twins, Romeo) and a few of the people that are in with a really strong shout are good prices.

I think a split stakes position over the housewives favourite, Gareth Thomas, and somewhat surprisingly, the nation’s soon to be enforced new favourite cheeky chappie, Frankie Cocozza will pay out handsomely in a week’s time.

Take a split position weighted in Gareth’s favour.  I may expand on this one later tonight when I get home – but for now I am off to shoot my lowest ever round of golf.

The magical 79.  Today will be the day….

Oh, and for those of you looking to pay for a big night out, there is a Cocozza-esque long odds pick below that I won’t curse by commenting on.

Adios amigos.

BOTW: 3pts on Burnely to beat Derby @ 1.91

3pts on Gareth Thomas to win CBB @ 3.00

1.5 points on Frankie Cocozza to win CBB @ 4.5

1pt on Blackburn to beat Everton @ 6.7

The Great British Public – Have a word with yourselves.

    You’ve let me down.

    Hang your collective heads.

Any chance of a post to discuss the weekend coupon Blez?

  3. John says:

So, England next manager betting… two days ago the odds on Redknapp was 3,5 but now they are as low as 1.29 in places.

Unsurprising right? I mean, its as much of a dead cert as you can get, right?

Maybe not. Spurs (Levy) refused to buckle on letting Modric go in the summer. They (he) can certainly be stubborn when necessary. Spurs are also having their best campaign for years and losing their manager would be a nightmare. On the other side, can the FA afford to run with a caretaker manager leading up to a major tournament?

While I think it is entirely likely that Harry will be our new national manager… is it worth a few pounds on Hodgson and Pardew at 17.0???

(I know Pardew’s Newcastle are performing similarly above expectations but I think it’d be easier for him to step away from Newcastle than Redknapp from Spurs)

  4. Richard aka Shonenknife says:

I still think you may have something in this John … certainly going to keep a close eye on the situation.

  5. Aaron says:

I’m afraid I agree with John’s second post. The FA constantly cave into pressure from the media, Fergie said it yesterday “the media have made their choice”. That is half the battle of the England job nowadays.

Re: this weekends games I particularly like the look of West Brom to win at Wolves tomorrow. Odds with Stand James are 3.1.

WB have been much better away from home this season with the pace of Long and Odemwingie on the break. Wolves were less than convincing last week against QPR and if they don’t get a goal early the crowd often get on their back.

      Hi Aaron,

This game at Molineaux is a really interesting one – it could have a huge impact on the relgation battle. It West Brom were to lose they are definitely in the scrap, if they win they won’t be far off safe.

Personally, I think both of these teams are in the 4-5 Premier League teams that the market is still uncertain of their value. If you were to say to a knowledge football person that you thought either might go down, or alternatively improve to finish in the 12-14th bracket you probably wouldn’t get too many complaints.

Personally for me, I think the draw is the likely value bet if any in this fixture. I don’t put any emphasis on WBA’s stronger away form that their home form. I think it is just small sample size noise.

And their home form is just diabolical! Also worth noting that RH was the draw master away from home in his time at Fulham – and that was a larger sample size.

The draw doesn’t really suit anybody… but that has never helped anyone in a prisoners dilema scenario!

Possibility to go for a lay of Wolves as the shorter favourite if you particularly fancy WBA?

All just my $0.10 sir of course… Good luck!

      • Blez says:

Was that a nice win for you Aaron?

Great pick. I expected much more from MM’s men in such a big game.

They were unlucky at times themselves, but they threw the towel in towards the end there.

  6. Aaron says:

Yeah a tidy little profit! Had them in my accumulator too and thanks to that world class save from joe hart I made £100 profit on that too!

I thought West Brom looked very good today and could have been home and dry first half.
