The blues and the bees…

It’s a really exciting coupon today and I have found a number of things I like the look of. In a huge turn up for the books I am even going to bet on a cup game!
However, in a less exciting turn up it still the same old names I am afraid.

I hope everyone profited from 10 man Crewe’s hard fought 2-1 win over a dogged Bradford side at Gresty Road on Tuesday night.
Did you ever really expect anything other than a win from the might combination that is BOTW and Crewe Alexandra?
I have a quick analysis piece for you tonight. Sadly it is a bit out of date, as it is a piece I started putting together almost two weeks ago but my work schedule didn’t allow me to finish it off.
I probably start at least one article a week that ends up going in the e-bin as I normally refuse to post outdated stuff.
However, even in retrospect I think that the findings and analysis in this one are still well worth sharing. So, although 80% of my narrative has sadly had to go down the can, I have refreshed the numbers and put together an updated version. There are some interesting statistics in here that are still relevant and I hope you will take something from it – particularly with the added benefit of hindsight.

I am taking the last remaining 5/6 on BOTW’s all time favourites Crewe to beat Bradford at Gresty Road tonight.
It’s probably got to the point where long term readers are now just raising their eyes at this one, so I won’t bang on for too long.

Sadly it also prevented BOTW reader SWAT taking the praise for “bagging” a winner for everyone. He sent me this guest piece midweek, and I can only apologise for not being able to post it before today’s game.
A very good piece and a winner to boot. Worth a read, even post the event. Well done sir.
Yes, that is the best pun I could think of and no, it doesn’t get any better.
I guess the first admission I need to make is that, yes, I am indeed a Blackburn fan.
Whilst I guess this might immediately weaken any argument I make to back the mighty Rovers, I think it could also been seen as sign of strength, as I am normally very pessimistic about our chances!
However, not so this week.
Radio slience

Radio silence from me this week I am afraid. It’s been a real stinker with work this week and I only found about an hour to spend on the coupon… and my conclusion was that it is a stinker!
The Premier League and the Championship in particular look horrid.
So it’s a week off for me and one to take stock (and play golf) and assess a few teams.
Slightly disppointing but good for the soul every now and then you know!
