Blackburn v Chelsea – Update
Posted by: | CommentsOK, so with 2 hours to go until kick off I thought I would throw up a quick little update on today’s game.
I am aware I haven’t put up much theory on trading, and that is something I will try to do over the coming months.
But as an illustration, check out the current prices for the Blackburn v Chelsea game:
The price for a Blackburn win has now moved in to 7.6 – which represents around 13/2.
I would love to say this was purely down to my analysis and BOTW extensive readership, however sadly I don’t think I have reached world domination yet!
Having got on at 9.0 last night, you could now trade out of the position to create a derisked or even completely risk free position.
In this particular instance, if you had backed Blackburn last night at 9.0, you stood to win £80.
But now you can lay Blackburn at 7.6 – 7.8 and generate a completely risk free position on the Blackburn win or you could even generate a circa 5% guaranteed return before a ball is even kicked. Not bad for a few hours “work”.
Anyway, just thought I would run through this to show how the exchange markets can be utilised once you are able to accurately price games yourself.
Cheers.
Advanced football pricing – Outsiders
Posted by: | CommentsAlright BOTW followers, it’s your lucky night.
I have got a stinking cold and as a result cannot sleep. So rather than sit here watching dross TV I thought I would put something a bit more meaty together to have a look at this Blackburn selection.
I am aware I didn’t really do it justice earlier, but I spent so long trying to come up with something additional, I just didn’t have the energy for it.
Well, now I still don’t t have the energy for it, but in the absence Bravo, I guess I may as well do something productive to pass the time.
Quiet Week
Posted by: | CommentsSorry guys, I have got nothing meaty for you this week.
I have spent an hour scraping around at the bottom of the coupon, including the BSQ leagues and even across Europe.
Sadly, there is nothing I really like.
For those that have to gamble, or are filling out a “Soccer Saturday” coupon, I can see a rash of draws in the Championship. The Cardiff, Palace, Derby, Ipswich, Boro, Pompey, QPR and Sheff Utd games all have a fair shout of ending all square. I don’t recommend the 8 fold mind!
Controversial
Posted by: | CommentsMore for a Friday afternoon debate at this stage this one.
Blackburn to beat Chelsea at Ewood Park. 8/1.
Discuss. Back later tonight with the meaty gossip
Quaking in their boots
Posted by: | CommentsMorning Ladies & Gentlemen,
It has been a busy week for me on all fronts, so a somewhat BOTW-lite style post again this week I am afraid.
Earlier in the week, I tipped Birmingham to beat Blackpool tomorrow. I still firmly stand by that position and those that got on at evens will be delighted to see the market is moving in.
I would still recommend getting on at the best price of 10/11 now if you didn’t previously and as I suggested I think we will be 5/6 across the board by kick off time. There are even plenty of 4/5′s up there now too.
Ducking for cover I tell you!
