Presume this price didn’t hang around for long?

NN – Seem’s there is still some 37/20 on Bet365. It’s worth taking.

The Dodgers start something like 8-13 and have been playing some good stuff. Pitching holding up much better.

The Padres really aren’t a .600 team and cannot see them surviving a 162 game campaign.

And don’t even talk to me about my Giants…

Rockies are the major threat. Strong second half team.

      Cheers

p.s. These baseball prices fluctuate far too much with each couple of wins and losses…

It’s a 160+ game season for a reason… you get a lot of variance to even itself out along the way.

My account with bet365 did not last long. I am a bit of a baseball newbie to be honest but don’t mind having a nibble to hold my interest. Thoughts on Ryan Howard- is he struggling a touch or is it too early to draw conclusions re: top bat bet, or is he right in the mixer?

  3. Blez says:

He’s not at the stage of hanging on yet but I would have expected him to have 2-3 more HR’s by now.

The last set of full season projections I saw last week still had him winning by 2-3.

The good news is the real threats (Pujols, Reynolds, Gonzalez, Dunn) are all on 9-10 HR’s.

So nothing really in that. Most of the guys at the top currently cannot keep their pace up. Howard will suddenly hit 5-6 HR’s in a week at some point, he always does.

Look for him to press on and time to really assess is the All Star Break.

He is also a notoriously hot finished in September so we may end up with an exciting chase on…

Nothing like a series against my beloved Giants to boost your division chances…

Yet another false dawn in the Bay Area.

One of the most incompetent front offices in the whole of MLB.
