Officially
Posted by: | Comments…a bad day at the office. Had to happen eventually. Lower league selections continue to cost me and my decision to pair up selections this week was particularly damaging.
A win in the York game alone would have made this a break even day, so that shows the fine line between success and failure in this game.
Onwards and upwards…
Keeping it simple
Posted by: | CommentsI am going back to basics a little bit this week as profits have stagnated over the last 2 weeks. We have has a little bit of bad luck (aka variance) but I have to admit the main reason for the downturn has been a couple of poor selections. Well maybe not poor selections, but more poor non-selections.
For two weekends running I have revisited my pre-weekend analysis and found myself asking “Why exactly did I decide not to back Team X at that price?”
C’est la vie. Hindsight is always 20/20.
However, as a consequence I am more determined to chalk up a win this week than a team full of James Milner’s.
I have made 5 selections for the weekend which I believe all represent +EV gambles. These have coincidently resulted in a nice spread of both low variance and good return selections. Read More→

Back to the well
Posted by: | CommentsNo, you haven’t just entered the Tardis. And, yes, I am betting on Rochdale yet again.
Keith Hill’s men continue to lead the way in League 2 and I expect them to continue their charge towards League 1 this Saturday up at Spotland. Read More→
Free scoring… Free money?
Posted by: | CommentsEvening all.
Back to winning ways at the weekend due to Norwich’s late heroics at Brighton and the rewarding low risk/high return treble coming in. Only Newport’s second consecutive draw prevented us having a fantastic weekend. Although reading the match report it counds like a draw was the best they could have hoped for!
I am going to have a cheeky little punt on +2.5 goals in the Cardiff v West Brom game tonight to liven up the week.
This is a match up of the top two scorers in the league, averaging 1.9 and 2.0 goals per game respectively.
In addition, both teams ship goals at a rate greater than their respective league table would suggest.
In addition the stronger West Brom are away from home, which further helps our cause due to an increased likelihood of away goals.
Both teams are looking good at the moment and this could be a real ding dong battle!
BOTW: 1pt on +2.5 goals in the Cardiff v West Brom game @ 10/11
