Tottnham A > Man United C

Mickey Mouse cup time again tomorrow. Although your more recent memory may say otherwise, SAF hasn’t faired that well in this competition over the years.

And I expect the youth/injury prone team to be stretched a little too far for once tomorrow, even with home field advantage.

It’s far from nailed on mind… but that’s why it’s 7/2!

BOTW: 1pt on Tottenham to beat Man United Reserves @ 7/2

Hammer blow?

No time to chat. Danish people to visit. Back West Ham for a pair.

I believe this is one of the most overpriced selections all year.

Cheers.

BOTW: 2pts on West Ham to beat Burnley @ 5/6

Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey

Well there is a demonstration for you all as to why “less is more” when “investing in sport”!

My favourite two picks both won this week, and the comfortable manner of Watford’s victory was particularly pleasing for a 4/5 shout.

Sadly, profits for the week were almost all absorbed by the less fancied choices I followed for volume. In addition, I am disappointed with myself for stupidly having the Leeds and Cardiff wagers the wrong way around. This also cost me potential additional profits.

However, on a brighter note I thoroughly enjoyed my “Soccer Saturday day” down the local boozer.

Always great to catch up with old friends in the company of Sir Jeff Stelling.

It is important to recognise the difference between betting for entertainment and profit seeking.

For the latter, you should always keep your stakes nice and low and take enjoyment from your success over the bookmaker, not the monetary loss/gain.

For those still picking this up it is important to notice that the weighting of the todays bets was the difference between a profit and a loss.

Only three of my six picks won today, however I still managed to record a profit of around 0.5pts. Thats not bad for a disappointing day.

7pts in one day?! Easy now.

You’ll have to trust me on the logic this week. As I haven’t the time (or motivation) to go through so many picks one by one.

I’m off to waste my hard earnt cash on the greyhounds tonight. That is one thing you will never see me recommended on here!

To make up for these losses I am upping the game where I believe I do have an edge – as the largest football brain to ever come out of Chorley. That’s not saying much though really.

You must trust me by now, no?! I hope so, as I am in quite a bullish mood!

Couple of dodgy ones here, but every now and then it is fun to roll the dice. See I do have a “wild” streak…

BOTW: 2pts on Stevenage to win at Forest Green @ (5/6), 2pts on Watford to beat Scunthorpe @ 4/5, 1.5 pts on Liverpool to beat City at Anfield @ (evens) and 1pt on a Cardiff to win at at Barnsley @7/5

and for those that like to mess about… 0.5pts on a Mansfield, Millwall & Leeds treble @ 10/3

I have decided to let the maths do the talking this week. I spent a few hours cutting the League 1 numbers this morning, and I have come up with 3 teams I think are best priced.

Millwall, Walsall and Hartlepool.
I am going to keep my bets to a minimum this week, as I am slightly less comfortable with the nuances of League 1, however the Walsall bet in particular I think is great value.
BOTW: 1.5pts on Walsall to beat Stockport @ 10/11 and 0.5pts on a Millwall & Hartlepool double @ 7/2
